19th Cent. Reliquary 1 St Class Relic St. Maxime + Wax Seal

This remarkable 19th-century reliquary holds a 1st Class relic of St. Maxime. An 8th-century Provençal nun, mother superior of the Callian monastery.
The relic is housed in a simple yet elegant oval brass reliquary with an aged patina that enhances its historical charm. It is securely enclosed beneath its original glass and displays a red silk background.
At the back of the reliquary, we find the Episcopal’ s wax seal holding the threads together and guaranteeing the authenticity of this holy relic.

This piece is in excellent condition for its age, with all elements preserved intact, including the wax seal and accompanying green silk cord.
